Steve was one of the kindest executives I have partnered with as a sales person whilst he was at Tatts Group. The first day I met him was my first day I came back to the workforce after many years, I was nervous and not entirely prepared. He immediately made me feel at ease with his gentle nature of which I experienced everytime we met. That was 10 years ago and I often reflect on those meetings with him, I am sure many of his team members learnt how to lead, my hope is all senior executives, CIO,s COO's etc should be like Steve - listen, always have an open door and trust those want to talk. RIP Steve, the world is a better place to have had you in it.
